FRAGMENTS is fertile soil for people, fashion and art; a manifesto for cultural exchange. With our collection of (visual) narrations we encourage our viewer to play with their identity and to listen to their own voice. Our dashing interviews and gleaming fashion film show our hopes and dreams in fashion and identity.
FRAGMENTS was sprung as a follow up of “Life is Beautiful Dress Accordingly”, a project by Theodorus Johannes (Theodoor Adriaans) with which he graduated cum-laude at Utrecht University of the Arts in BA Fashion Communication. As a visual document or blog, FRAGMENTS go’s forth with his plea for autonomy.
FRAGMENTS is vruchtbare grond voor mensen, mode en kunst; een manifest voor culturele uitwisseling. Met onze verzameling (visuele) vertellingen bemoedigen we onze kijker te spelen met haar identiteit en te luisteren naar haar eigen stem. Onze smaakmakende interviews en bruisende fashion film tonen onze voornemens in mode en identiteit.
FRAGMENTS is voortgekomen uit “Life is Beautiful Dress Accordingly”, het project van Theodorus Johannes (Theodoor Adriaans) waarmee hij cum-laude afstudeerde aan Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht in BA Fashion Communication. Als beeldend document danwel blog, beweegt FRAGMENTS zich voort met diens pleidooi voor autonomie.

Theodorus Johannes is a filmmaker and photographer, researcher and storyteller. With reports that concentrate on fashion as a complex and powerful form of communication, themes such as identity and authenticity are questioned and examined. FRAGMENTS is his manifesto towards diversity and social intervention. Either online or offline, Theodorus Johannes makes way for autonomy and embraces cultural norms with curiosity.
Theodorus Johannes is filmmaker en fotograaf, onderzoeker en storyteller. Met reportages waarin mode als complexe maar krachtige communicatievorm centraal staat, worden thema’s zoals identiteit en authenticiteit onderzocht en ter discussie gesteld. FRAGMENTS is zijn manifest voor diversiteit en maatschappelijke interventie. Zowel online als offline breekt Theodorus Johannes lans voor autonomie en omarmt culturele normen met nieuwsgierigheid.

Both seeking for borders within the field of graphic design, their photography, documentaries and visual art will always have a touch of their silly seriousness, playing with forms and colors instinctively.
Best Friends Saskia en Manon ontwierpen ons logo, veelzijdig voor elke gelegenheid zodat we zelden binnen de lijntjes kleuren. Beide zoekend naar de grenzen binnen grafisch ontwerp bevatten hun fotografie, documentaires en beeldende kunst altijd een glimp van hun komische serieusheid, steeds instinctief spelend met vorm en kleur.
